Distributed Renewable Energy Enhancement Facility (DREEF) will be a first of its kind institutional model that focuses on developing investment grade Distributed Renewable Energy (DRE) projects and unlocking long-term local capital in Africa
DREEF will help generate a pipeline of investment grade DRE projects as well as standardise the various stages of project preparation, leveraging on the due diligence and credit experience data gathered from anchor commercial lenders
DREEF will bridge the knowledge gap and asymmetry of information between project preparation and project finance for DRE thereby accelerating access to private capital from domestic institutional investors at scale.
